Just a personal note to tell you "THANK YOU" for your reference letter. It gave me the big break I needed and I want you to know that I appreciated it. . . It is so-o-o nice to have my life back on track, working a profession that is not boring. The education I worked so hard to get is paying off. I live comfortably now without the constant financial struggle to just survive and having a profession I can be proud of and continue to work at even after retirement, which will be in about two years and nine months (age 65). I have learned that the medical transcription field is one of the few professions where they welcome "seniors" because of the years gaining vocabulary and typing skills. There are many jobs for transcriptionists here as the area is growing at the rate of 5,000 persons per month. If any transcriptionists plan to move here, give them my phone number and I can and will help, as I have good insight into the medical transcription situation here. Sincerely,
June 1997
This is a long overdue note to you about my experience with your course. Let me begin by saying that I would heartily recommend it to anyone with a serious interest in becoming an MT. I believe that a person who has the desire to stick with a course that is self-directed will find yours a great way to go. It is a comprehensive course that includes all the basics of terminology and a very reasonable price! With two toddlers at home I found that I could go at my own pace and not have to worry about attending class. Now that I am an independent MT, I still refer to the course materials from time to time. I can't thank you enough for my start in this business! Sincerely
